The Friendship Sloop was the Maine work boat from 1880 - 1920.
She was elegantly designed--a perfect balance of form and function. She was a seaworthy handy vessel for working off the Maine cost. Friendship sloops were fishing boats, both lobstering and long lining. They were also used as a work-boat, much like a pickup truck for the water, moving all kinds of cargo.
Today the precious human cargo is the prominent fair as Friendships Sloops continue to work off the New England coast carrying passengers viewing God's beautiful creation.
